The new chat has been installed and… I really like it. I will tell you why I think it is better than the old one:
- this one allows multiple chatrooms so we dont have 1 crowded chatroom where thousands of “send me something” come floating by but we can have dedicated rooms maybe even for specific groups, maybe with a small group of users that would be handy but with greater amount of users not. BUT the group icon is probably less intuitive so i will replace the icon
- we can send files to each other but I have to check something because that is not working yet
- you can play game with each other
- it allows for both guests and logged in users
- it has a server based administration backend making moderation much easier
- posting youtube links includes the video
- i can add additional icons like the farmville icon
- it has a lot of configuration options where I NOW will play with since I just discovered the new chat :)
